Originally established in the United States by the American Library Association (ALA), the event is organised in Italy by the Italian Library Association (AIB).
The library is not just a quiet place for books, but a vibrant, social space where play becomes a means of cultural enrichment, socialising and personal development for all ages.
Hundreds of libraries will break the monotony and spark the imagination with board games, role-playing games, video game tournaments and workshops.
Playing games is serious business! It’s not just about having fun: board games and role-playing games exercise the mind, encourage problem-solving, break down generational barriers and build communities. Whether you’re a strategy enthusiast or simply curious, International Games Month is the perfect opportunity to give it a go.
